About Gaddis Connections
If you would like to help support this site to remain ad-free and have maximum
space for photos, please contact me as any contributions will be appreciated.
Credit will be given to contributors. If you have photos or family records to
share, please contact us.

NOTE: A few more family members have left us, specifically, my precious Dad, James
W. Lyon, my "second Mom", Betty Lucille (Gaddis) Green, my dear
aunt (Dad's sister) Betty Fay (Lyon) Webb, and most recently, my dear uncle, Lynn Nowlin (Barbara
Ann's husband). Our hearts are broken, we miss them all
terribly, but we rejoice for we know they are with Jesus, waiting for us to join
them, either by crossing the Jordan River ourselves, or Jesus returning and catching
us up to Him in the rapture! The signs are in the heavens as well as on earth, we
read the ancient prophecies being fullfilled daily in our newspapers, I hope you are
ready for the Lord's return, and will join us in the gathering. If you want more
information, please read Matthew 24, or contact me. I love to share about Jesus!

Some of the family sites have been closed. The family information is the same
and is included on this site. The remaining sites are listed below. Having mutiple sites to honor
each branch of the family has been fun, but just too expensive to maintain, so
we must make a decision as what to do. If you are interested in sponsoring
this site, just send us a message.

PLEASE NOTE: Photos are not to be used other than for personal enjoyment
only, NOT TO BE POSTED TO OTHER WEB SITES OR REDISTRIBUTED WITHOUT PERMISSION
IN ANY FORMAT. Not all photos have been linked to individuals, so check the
albums Please feel free to use genealogy information, but **please** give
credit for what you use by providing a link to this site for each individual
you enter from my site into your records. Please link to the homepage only.

My sister and I have been researching our Gaddis family since 1980 and have
reached a concrete wall on our research. We are the daughters of Julia Marie
Gaddis and James W. Lyon, daughter of William Gaddis and Bettie Lee Sheppard. James W. Lyon is the
son of James Taylor Lyon and Minnie D Carpenter. If you find any connections, please contact us.
We have many documents not shown on this site. Please sign the guest book so we know you have
visited and found something of interest, and to let us know all this hard work is
benefiting someone:) We have concluded we are kin to no one.:)

The main surnames involved in our GADDIS research are:BARNES,CHAPMAN,
GARDNER,GREEN,LYON,NIX,RAY,RAPER,ROGERS,SHEPPARD,WHALIN, but there are many
connecting branches. If you connect to any of them, please contact us. While
the gedfile is our complete file, the photos will focus on the GaddisLyon branches
of the family. The Autrey Connection are listed below and has it's own albums. We have also added
an album dedicated to unidentified photos we hope someone will recognize and contact us. Many more
will be added to all albums, so visit often.

The USEFUL LINKS are limited to five, so will add additional Gaddis sources:

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
